"RÉCRÉ @DO" is a memoir of French television by author David Diamond, self-published via TheBookEdition and to be released on November 4, 2020. The book was typed out by the author onto Microsoft Office Word, then laid out by yours truly using Adobe InDesign. I created paragraph as well as character styles to make the work easier, using various weights, styles, and point sizes of the typeface Garamond. From 08/03/20 to 09/03/20, I laid out 17 pages a day from the Word Doc onto my InDesign file, which resulted in the 463 letter-sized pages to become a 284-page, MDO PDF. Once the entire layout was done and approved, I ventured into designing the book cover. The front cover is composed of a simple black background, with a photo created in Adobe Photoshop of various French television personalities as well as the author himself with famous host Michel Drucker, inside a vintage TV. The author obtained an ISBN, from which I was able to generate the barcode. This project was especially interesting due to my own interest in publication editing; it served as great practice and has given me further appreciation for the field. All in all, this was a tremendous and challenging project, but I am most proud of the final outcome.
