This project is a re-branding of the famous Rio Carnival. The logo was illustrated using Adobe Illustrator, and is inspired by the traditional feathery head-wear seen on the people during the event. In addition, the usage of glitter was very important to the overall compositions, as they are crucial to the Carnival alongside the feathers. The biggest element of the Carnival is "the beautiful ladies", which is why a group of them is used recurringly throughout each piece. Each lady on the photo is emphasized at a different point in the bus shelter ads in order to utilize the colors of her outfit. My incentive behind this process is my own cultural background, being from the Caribbean, and having knowledge of similar carnivals in the Antilles. All photography used in the making of this student design has been sourced on the internet.
